Facilities

LAGENBIO has four fully equipped facilities to develop molecular and cellular biology techniques.

General laboratory

To perform different techniques such as ELISA, western-blot and immunolabelling of tissues and cells for flow cytometry or histological studies.

Cell culture laboratory – 1

For the culture, study and storage of cells.

Biosafety level 2 laboratory.

Molecular biology laboratory

For the extraction and analysis of nucleic acids (DNA and RNA).

LAGENBIO is a research group of the University of Zaragoza based at the School of Veterinary Medicine and counts among its members with veterinary staff from the Veterinary Hospital of the University of Zaragoza. Thus, we have access to the facilities available at the veterinary school and veterinary hospital for housing the horses and for carrying out various procedures in animals (clinical examinations, diagnostic tests and surgery).
